Exceptional care goes beyond the exam room. It also means providing nutritious—and delicious—meals to our patients, community, and team members.

That’s why we’re so proud of our Dietary teams for once again earning several Good Food, Healthy Hospital Awards for offering fresh, nourishing, and locally sourced food.

TUH-Main and Episcopal Campuses both earned Platinum status—the highest level of recognition. Fox Chase Cancer Center earned Gold status, and TUH-Jeanes Campus earned Silver status.

A Statewide Leader

Good Food, Healthy Hospitals’ mission is to promote wellness by encouraging healthcare institutions to serve more nutritious and sustainable food and beverages.

68 hospitals across Pennsylvania are part of the initiative, led by The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania in partnership with the PA and Philadelphia Departments of Public Health.

Participating hospitals offer fresh fruits and vegetables; provide nutrition information; work to improve community access to healthy options; and sell fewer sugar-sweetened beverages, packaged snacks, unhealthy fats, and processed foods.

It’s an acknowledgement that food is healthcare—and that our Dietary teams are playing an essential role in empowering our patients and communities.
