Patient Comments
I wanted a second opinion. Dr. Cann will now be the provider directing my treatment.
Dr. Caan, his nurse [...] are outstanding. The infusion nurses are super considerate and excellent at their jobs. Simply the best.
The visit I had with Dr. Cann was perhaps one of the best visits I've ever had with a medical provider. I felt that his approach to medicine started with having myself verbalize how I understood not just the disease that I have fought for the past four years, but to articulate what has been presented to me to ensure that I had a full understanding. I have never had a physician Ask me this at an appointment ever. He also must've been incredibly thorough at reading my health history for the past four years as this was my first visit with him. He was able to communicate with me facts about my case that he had no level of involvement in, yet he understood, exactly the treatment from the very first date up until the day I saw him. In addition, my health goals, my life, goals, and how I want to physically and emotionally and psychologically approach This disease was communicated to him via my records. He took note of them, and during the conversation about my current condition was able to support these objectives in conjunction with possible treatment options. I also have never been acknowledged by a medical doctor that my four year battle has transversed some incredibly tough physical difficulties. He acknowledged that from what he read, was a very challenging and tough journey that I have endured. Likely, this was the first time I ever felt truly seen and recognized as an individual facing cancer. My visit with Dr. Kahn felt incredibly individualized. I would encourage him to continue approaching, patient care in this manner. I would return to him in a heartbeat to receive treatment.
We drive 2 and a half hours for my care and treatments. I have other options 5 minutes from my home. The care, compassion and services provided is worth every mile we take.
