Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital hosted an appreciation event to recognize Pennsylvania State Sen. Art Haywood and Pennsylvania State Rep. Tarik Khan for a $400,000 Commonwealth Capital Funding award through the Pennsylvania Local Share Account-Statewide program. Funds are being used to purchase modern diagnostic equipment to address women’s health, including 3D mammography. Additionally, Cindy Zimmerman, DNP, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager in the Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital Emergency Department, was recognized after she helped save a driver’s life on the PA Turnpike in December. NBC10, Fox29, and 6abc featured Rep. Khan presenting Zimmerman with a citation from the PA House of Representatives.
