Temple University Hospital’s Dermal Defense Team accepted the eighth annual 3M Award for Excellence in Skin Safety at the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) annual education event, WOCNext, in Nashville. HealthLeaders published a report highlighting the success of the team in reducing pressure injuries. The report featured Diane Wagner, MSN, BSN, RN, CWOCN, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Dermal Defense Team Program Chair at Temple University Hospital (TUH), and Meghan Dunleavy, BSN, RN, a nurse in the surgical ICU at TUH and a member of the Dermal Defense Team. Patient Safety & Quality Healthcare also picked up the HealthLeaders report.
