Nicolle K. Strand, JD, MBE, MPH, Director of the Center for Urban Bioethics at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University; Whitney V. Cabey, MD, MAUB, MSHP, Assistant Professor in the Center for Urban Bioethics at the Katz School of Medicine; and Peter Simonsson, PhD, MSW, LCSW, Assistant Professor of Urban Health and Population Science at the Katz School of Medicine, wrote an essay for the Hastings Center’s Bioethics Forum about the ethical questions involved in the clinical dilemma of how to best care for a patient experiencing incarceration.
