Moves in Medicine: Dr. Brian O’Neill and Patient Discuss Atrial Fibrillation and the Watchman Device

View All News

Temple Health and 6ABC-TV collaborated on a sponsored segment about atrial fibrillation, which is the most common type of irregular heartbeat, and an option for those with the condition who cannot take blood thinners – the Watchman device. The device works to keep blood clots from forming and traveling from the heart to the brain, where they could cause a stroke. The segment featured Brian O’Neill, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, as well as patient Lawrence Keeley.
