Medscape highlighted research by Jared A. Darr, MD, a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellow at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, that found older adults not previously listed for lung transplant who were bridged to transplant via extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) showed favorable survival rates up to five years later.
