Stephen Aronoff, MD, MBA, Waldo E. Nelson Chair and Professor of Pediatrics at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offered insight to Everyday Health about pertussis, also known as whooping cough. Whooping cough is a highly transmissible infection of the lungs and airways that mostly affects babies and young children and is on the rise in the United States in the first few months of 2025.
IMPORTANT: Beginning at 8:00 AM on July 22, Temple University Hospital – Main Campus (Broad and Ontario Streets) will no longer provide Labor and Delivery services. All childbirth services will be relocated to our new hospital location.
