Jason Gallagher, PharmD, FCCP, FIDSA, BCPS, Clinical Professor at the Temple University School of Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases at Temple University Hospital and Director of the Postgraduate Year Two Infectious Diseases Residency at the Temple University School of Pharmacy, addressed antibiotic development for the June issue of Contagion Live. Gallagher, who is the editor-in-chief of the news publication, focused on Achaogen, which had developed plazomicin and has since filed for bankruptcy, and what that could mean going forward.
