Jamie Garfield, MD, Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offered insight to Everyday Health for two articles about idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The first article examined the impact of environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, air quality, and seasonal changes on IPF. The second article addressed breathlessness and anxiety, common symptoms in individuals with IPF that are often linked with one another.
