The American Lung Association (ALA) released its annual “State of Tobacco Control” report, which grades each state on how well it meets national standards for tobacco control and provides services to help people who want to quit smoking. Jamie Garfield, MD, Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offered commentary to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on Pennsylvania’s failing grades and how that impacts residents’ health.
