A feature in the AATS Daily News showcased research presented by Valeda L. Yong, MD, MSEd, General Surgery Resident at Temple University Hospital, at the 2024 AATS annual meeting. Dr. Yong and Cherie P. Erkmen, MD, Director of the Thoracic Surgery Residency Program at TUH, are examining racial differences in cardiothoracic surgery letters of recommendation.
